Preserve your picture-memories permanently, on DVD. Image scans are suitable for storage on your MAC or PC, or just leave on the DVD. You may email the images to friends & family, or upload to various websites, including Facebook and Myspace. You can also upload to alkit.com or other photo-printing sites for high-quality photo prints. Image scans are NOT formatted for playback on video.
Scan up to 450 4”x6” photographs at 300DPI, for $99.99. We supply a Photo Storage Box, with return prepaid postage. Send us your pictures. You receive your pictures back with a DVD containing all of your scanned pictures in jpeg format.
This service does not apply to slides or negatives; prints only. Pictures will be scanned in the order they are shipped to us within the box. Pictures must face the same way; rear-facing images will be scanned “blank”. 3.5”x5”, 4”x5”, 5”x5”, 4”x6” prints are acceptable for this service, and may be submitted in mixed sizes.
Delicate or damaged photos are not recommended for this service. Such pictures with tears, missing edges, etc., require custom handling.
Prepaid boxes expire 1-year after purchase, and are not accepted for return or credit.
After placing your order with Alkit, you will receive a prepaid Photo Storage Box delivered to you via Fedex. Inside, you will find packing material to protect pictures from movement in transit, should you fill the box to less than its capacity. We include a strip of packing tape to re-seal the box, and a prepaid Fedex shipping label. Simply bring the box to any Fedex/Kinkos location for shipment back to Alkit. Your pictures are shipped back to you within 1-business day after our receipt from you, along with a high-resolution data DVD.
