Portrait Package Assembly

Alkit produces professional photographic portrait for schools and sports. We have available full and part-time positions available at our location in Freeport. Starting rate is $16 per hour. We increase for acceptance of additional training and production. We increase to $17.50 for full-time, including benefits.

We require hand-packaging of printed photographs and related accessory items into envelopes. Additional compensation is available to people who we will train to produce accessory items, such as mugs, mousepads, puzzles, keychains, etc.

Job requirements vary as described on a written instruction form. We train and supervise to ensure accuracy of every order. We are looking for candidates able to take such direction to provide efficient production.

Full-time positions are standard business hours Monday to Friday. Part-time positions are available as well. Evenings and weekend slots available. All positions are “on-the-books”.

Experienced Production Technician

Knowledge of color correcting and printing, a must. Capable of producing high quality photographic prints with minimum supervision. Must be able to maintain pace in a high volume, fast paced environment. Will train to meet our specific requirements.

Duties include individual color-corrections performed on subject photos. Corrections require density and color adjustments for optimal flesh tones, via the use of Kodak DP2 Software and specialized hardware tools. Qualified candidates will have prior experience in a working photo lab and a managed workflow environment. Photographic print production using Noritsu photo printers onto Kodak Professional Paper. Other areas of responsibility will include Film developing and high-resolution film scanning. Digital Color-Press and finishing. Print-Mounting and lamination.

Additional compensation offered, commensurate with experience. Training is ongoing. We closely supervise all operations performed.

Outside Sales Rep.

We are looking for highly motivated, passionate, talented and competitive salespeople to sell our printing services primarily in the tri-state area to school, sport, wedding, Bar --Mitzvah, portrait & event photographers. 

Seeking Recent College Graduates or candidates with 1-2 years of successful sales experience. 

Photographic knowledge a plus.
